Alphonso mangoes are also known as “Hapus”.  They are grown in the regions of Ratnagiri, Devgad, Malvan in Maharashtra.

Alphonso mangoes are seasonal and are typically available from Mid Feb to June.

Appearance
Alphonso mangoes are medium-sized, with an average weight of 150–300 grams. They have a thick, green skin that turns thin and orange-yellow when ripe. The fruit has a slight red blush towards the top.
