PAYRI Mango
Payri mango is a popular variety of mangoes grown in the Ratnagiri, Devgad. Payri is generally used to make Aamras or Mango Juice. It is less sweet than alphonso but juicier. Payari is known as Raspuri Mango.
A mixture of Alphonso and Payri mango makes for an excellent Aamras.
The season for Payri is generally in month of May to June
Payri mango is a local variety coming out of the Ratnagiri Devgad belt of premium mangoes in India.
Appearance
Payri mangoes are greenish on the outside, but the flesh is bright yellow with a hint of saffron. Some varieties have a slight red tinge.
